REST ASSURED: THE WESTIN MALDIVES MIRIANDHOO RESORT CELEBRATES WORLD SLEEP DAY

In anticipation of World Sleep Day on March 14,2025, Westin Hotels & Resorts, part of Marriott Bonvoy’s global portfolio, is reaffirming its commitment to promoting restful sleep as a vital part of overall well-being. This effort builds on the brand’s “Busy Resting” campaign launched in January 2025, which aims to emphasize the importance of sleep and relaxation. Hotels and resorts across Asia Pacific (excluding China) are inviting guests to embrace rest not as a luxury but as a crucial part of their lives.

The Westin Maldives Miriandhoo Resort provides tips for better sleep, including consuming infused tea and Sleep Well menu before sleep and light exercise such as Yoga Nidra

In today’s fast-paced world, being busy has often become a symbol of status, frequently at the cost of personal well-being. However, a shift is underway as people begin to prioritize their health and reclaim the night to rest. With a long-standing focus in holistic well-being, Westin has continuously positioned itself as a leader in the wellness space within the hospitality industry. Since introducing the revolutionary heavenly bed® in 1999, Westin has set a new standard for sleep experiences in hotels and continues to lead the way in wellness tourism.

For over two decades, Westin has evolved to ensure that guests can enjoy a personalized sleep experience that cater to their individual needs. The Sleep Well program, which includes amenities such as the Sleep Well Menu and Sleep Well Lavender Balm, underscores the brand’s dedication to fostering restorative sleep as a cornerstone of overall health. Today, Westin’s commitment to wellness is reflected in its six pillars of Well-Being: Sleep Well, Eat well, Move Well, Feel Well, Work Well, and Play well.

“Westin has long been a pioneer in hospitality, empowering guests to enhance their wellness routines while travelling”, said John Toomey, Chief Commercial Officer for Asia Pacific (excluding China). “World Sleep Day serves as a reminder of the importance of restoration experiences. With the growing interest in sleep tourism and wellness travel, it’s the perfect time to reaffirm our commitment by providing guests with the tools and experiences they need for a good night’s sleep”.

At the heart of Westin’s well-being initiatives is the Sleep Well program, designed to offer guests a revitalizing sleep experience. The Heavenly® Bed ensures unparalleled comfort, while the sleep Well Menu features sleep-enhancing superfoods to support relaxation and rest. The Sleep Well Lavender Balm, infused with essential oils, helps ease tension and fosters a calming sleep environment. Together, these amenities help guests experience restorative sleep during their stay.

The Westin Maldives Miriandhoo Resort, for example, offers a Sleep Infusion Turndown service with a curated selection of sleep-inducing teas, such as chamomile and lavender, to promote relaxation. Guests can also enjoy meditation and relaxation sessions like Yoga Nidra, a guided meditation known for inducing deep relaxation, and Gyan Mudra, a hand gesture to aid focus and balance.

Additionally, Westin has launched ‘The Westin Maldives Kids Sleep Manual’ in collaboration with Savvy sleep. This manual provides sleep tips and activities for families traveling with children, such as beachfront bedtime stories and stargazing, helping to foster restful sleep for the whole family.

On March 14, The Westin Maldives Miriandhoo Resort will host a sunset reception to celebrate World Sleep Day where guests can unwind with Sleep Well-inspired canapés and beverages, all while soaking in the resort’s serene, breathtaking ocean views.

With a focus on well-being, The Westin Maldives Miriandhoo resort offers an immersive approach to rest, ensuring that every guest leaves the island feeling rejuvenated. For details or to make a reservation, visit westin-maldives.com.
