To mark Global Wellness Day and International Yoga Day in June, Vakkaru Maldives is inviting guests to embark on a restorative journey guided by healer and holistic therapist Daria Gudkova. During her month-long residency (June 1–30), guests can participate in transformative group and private sessions designed to reduce stress, improve sleep, release emotional blockages and restore physical and mental harmony.
A certified kundalini and yoga therapist, Gudkova brings a wealth of knowledge from years of study and spiritual practice in the Himalayas. Her journey into Eastern philosophy began in 2018 and led her to spend over five years in India, where she studied Sanskrit, yoga therapy, sound healing and energy-based techniques, including Reiki and crystal healing. She now shares her individualized approach with those seeking physical, emotional and spiritual alignment.
During her residency at the resort, Gudkova will offer a comprehensive wellness program that integrates movement, meditation and energy work. Complimentary group sessions include once a week morning yoga session, morning meditation and breath- work session, and an afternoon sound bath session. For guests seeking deeper personal healing, private sessions range from singing bowl vibrational massages and chakra balancing to Reiki with crystals, Kundalini breathing practices and Vedic gemstone consultations based on individual birth charts. Her bespoke yoga menu also includes traditional hatha yoga, dynamic vinyasa flows, Kundalini yoga and therapeutic sessions tailored to specific physical or emotional needs.
